Renovating your home with custom made interiors

Renovating your home with custom made interiors!

Renovating your home with custom made interiors

They say that home is where the heart is, and if that’s true, then it’s no surprise that we invest so much of ourselves in our homes. After all, when you’re renovating or building a new home, you’re making sure it’s going to be a place where you can relax, recharge, and enjoy life with your family.

But while it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of getting started on a big project, it’s important to consider both the pros and cons of renovating your home with custom-made interiors before you start planning out your dream home.

Pros:

It allows you to customize your house to fit your needs and style. You get exactly what you want, with no need to compromise. Custom-made interiors are built with you in mind. They are created around how you use your home and what is important to you. For example, if family meals are the main event in your home, you may consider an open-plan kitchen with an oversized pantry to stock extra delicious ingredients. Perhaps adding in a children’s or teen retreat may be beneficial for growing children who need their own space. A custom-design renovation offers the flexibility to treat yourself to an on-site gym or swimming pool that will give you the active lifestyle you may have always wanted.

You can choose materials that are more environmentally friendly than traditional building materials. For example, if you live in an area prone to wildfires, one or two walls of your home could be made with stone or concrete blocks. These materials have been used for centuries and have proven to be very durable and long-lasting. In fact, some ancient Roman structures still stand today! Another option is to renovate your home with recycled materials. These items are especially useful when building homes in remote locations where it would be difficult to transport traditional building materials. You can also use alternative methods like bamboo scaffolding which is lighter than steel but just as strong.

You can use unique design elements that aren’t available in premade products, like stained glass windows or granite countertops. Tailoring the home’s interior with uniquely crafted cabinetry and distinguishing features enable you to achieve a custom-made interior.

Maximise your space with clever design and quality materials.  For example, incorporating elevated storage will maximise floor space, while cleverly positioned rooms will allow you to achieve your preferred amount of natural light throughout the home. The flow of the house will be personalised so that it is an effortless place for you to live. Materials for production-built homes are purchased in bulk, whereas materials for custom homes are purchased individually for your home only. The end result is a truly exclusive home that will increase the sale value.

The cost of a custom-made interior can be both an advantage and disadvantage. I see it as an advantage. One of the benefits of a custom home is that you are designing a home that works perfectly for you and your family, within the limits of your own budget. As you are consulted on construction materials, appliances and fixtures, you control how much you spend on each feature. This means that when it comes to making decisions about the features that will make up your new home, there are no limits to what’s possible!

Cons:

Custom-made interiors is a longer process because of the time involved in making custom designs and ordering custom materials from multiple vendors. This means you may have to wait longer for delivery. For example, if you need new kitchen cabinets and want them made out of bamboo instead of wood like most people to do today then it will probably take some time before those cabinets arrive at your doorstep.

The process is more complicated than buying new furniture from a store. Buying something that is the ready will of course get to you faster.

It also might be hard to find contractors who can do everything you need to be done at once like plumbing, electrical work and carpentry or who have expertise in the purchases you made.

You may find that there are more pros than cons. Renovating with custom interiors is a great idea if you work with the right people and do the right planning. The solutions I found for my own home renovation include some planning to completely remove the custom home design cons.

I believe everyone deserves a home they feel special in it, so decided to help renovators with their custom-made interiors and renovation journey. We provide custom-made, unique solutions for all your renovation needs at Boxareno.
