Why OS&E belongs in the same package
On most projects the furniture goes through a formal procurement process while the operating supplies are bought later, by someone else, often in the last weeks before opening and at close to retail prices. That is when linen arrives at the wrong quality, amenities do not match the brand, and nobody has ordered the door hangers.
Guests handle these items first: the hanger, the towel, the linen when the bed is turned down. They decide whether the hotel keeps the promise it made at check-in. Supplying them with the FF&E keeps them to the same specification, the same brand standards and the same delivery programme.
